Last week I received a date night package from My Blogspark courtesy of Wanchai Ferry and Macaroni Grill dry dinner kits. Now as a busy wife and mother this was a true gift. I have 3 kids and I am constantly running. Some days I feel like my husband and I are two ships passing in the night. So this date night kit was a welcomed gift.
First of all when I opened the package I saw two boxes. The first box was Wanchai Ferry's Orange Chicken. I knew that this was a winner. My husband and I love chinese food and Orange Chicken is one of our favorites. I looked over the box and all I needed was a pound of boneless chicken breast. It came with everything else. The directions were so easy to follow and in 30 minutes we had a wonderful dinner. Especially since we had managed to get an evening free with the children hanging out with friends or Grandma. It was nice to see the peppers in a separate pouch so we could control how spicy it was.
The second box was Macaroni Grill's Creamy Basil Chicken. This also just needed a pound of boneless chicken breast it also recommend using precooked chicken strips in a pinch. Once again it only took about 30 minutes to cook and was fabulous. This is what it looked like:
So we had a nice meal , snuggled up on the couch to watch a dvd and before we knew it the kids were home. Unfortunately they came in and ate all my leftovers. Let me tell you this is not only date night approved but kid approved too.
